Dancing Coyote Beach’s three private cottages reside on Tomales Bay, in the tiny town of Inverness, California, adjacent to the Point Reyes National Seashore. The structures were designed and built by San Francisco-born architect Igor Sazevich in 1971, and restored in 2020.
Sazevich’s book, Time in my Coffee, is available in each cottage.
The current owner, Rachel Hamilton, was a recent transplant to the Bay Area from New York when a friend took her to dinner in the magical town of Inverness. Rachel was so charmed by the beauty and tranquility of West Marin that she went home that night and did a search for available real estate in the area. In what felt like some sort of synchronicity, the Dancing Coyote property was on sale for the first time in decades, having just gone on the market the day before. Acting on instinct, Rachel took a leap of faith and became the steward of this special property. She has enjoyed looking after these unique cottages and this magical land ever since. It is her great joy to be able to provide space for guests to slow down, relax and enjoy themselves year after year.
