A little bit of heaven so close to home..We're only about 2 hours away in Half Moon Bay, ca. We love our area so it's hard to leave our coastal home and not be a little disappointed in the "getaways" elsewhere. However Dancing Coyote Beach was perfect!!!! I can't say that enough. The cottage was so cozy and charming. For me I need to see the water! From our acacia cottage we had a view from every window, I loved it. Very private! Decks with views, wood burning fireplace, utility kitchen, fridge.  We'll return for sure
A perfect hidewayThe place is like a little secret hideaway, nestled in one of the last private beaches on the Inverness side of Tomales Bay. The building looks a bit funky at first but there is rhyme to the reason. Every unit has a deck, and outdoor access, and views to both sides of the Bay. It's quite spectacular. It's absolutely luxurious because you have everything you need: a great sitting chair, a roaring fireplace, coffee and teas, a great bed with views from all sides. Then, there is the outdoor garden, with an open deck with adirondack chairs, evoking some other place... I call it my West Cast Martha's Vineyard. The proprietors were absolutely gracious. We hiked, went kayaking, had a great drive and meal at Nick's Cove and Sir and Star, and read... what luxury.
Great place for an active foodie!
We loved being so close to hiking, kayaking and the beautiful scenery of Point Reyes National Seashore. We stayed in the Birch cottage. We loved having a wood burning fireplace and the kitchen was very well outfitted - clearly done by someone who knows how to cook. We loved going to the local markets and getting local produce to make a great meal. We also really enjoyed going to some of the restaurants in the region. The cottage was very well situated for all of these adventures. The cottage was adorable and cozy and the views of Tomales Bay were awesome. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable time and I highly recommend!
Peaceful get away.
Easy access to hiking, beaches, markets & restaurants. Our family had a terrific stay at Dancing Coyote Beach. The cottages are cozy, adorable and comfortable with beautiful views out of every window. Rachel and Greg have thought of every detail to make the cottages a wonderful place to stay, while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of Tomales Bay. The location is perfect for exploring the Point Reyes National Seashore and visiting the many beaches.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at DCB.
Peaceful Retreat
A bit of funky architecture right on the water (when the tide is in). Truly peaceful and beautiful. our tastes. If you are looking for a cozy spot, this is it. I can't wait to return!
Romantic weekend
The place is nice and quite and perfect for a get away weekend. Not luxury by an means but if you like cabins, a bit of 'wilderness' and quiet this is the sweet spot for affordable and unique in Inverness.
Perfect place to disconnect from it all
​After a busy work trip in San Francisco, I was looking forward to get a break from city life and reconnect with nature. This was a perfect place to do it. I stayed in the Skye cottage. Despite being a small space, it never felt crowded. Cozy in all the best ways. The couch, the bed, the chairs everything was so comfy and perfect for relaxing. The patio offers a gorgeous view of the sunrise which you can enjoy as you sip on the coffee provided.  It was a cold morning, but I didn't mind the outdoor shower at all. Good water pressure and the water warmed up quickly. There's a lot of good places nearby for some easy hikes with great views - Abbot's Cove, Chimney Rock, McClures Beach etc. Great views of wildlife along the way too - especially Elephant Seals and Elk. Highly recommend this special place.
Rural Treat
Found the cottages on line, it was in the perfect location for ourselves, close to all the sights of the National Park. We had Skye Cottage, the smallest, and full of character. Facilities were excellent with coffee provided, local supermarket too for when the 2 local restaurants were closed (the whole of our stay). The bed is interesting, up a vertical ladder into a loft space, lovely views and surrounded by nature, however as a couple in our 50's, perhaps a more conventional bed would have been better!"
Very special place
We have (almost) never stayed in a more beautiful and special place than this. One night was not enough in this cosy little cabin/house! We stayed in the smallest of the four cabins ("Sky") - and enjoyed both a nice view, an outdoor shower, a well equiped kitchen and a warm fireplace.
Incredible hiking nearby
Being right on the water is so relaxing, even the fog stayed at bay, we enjoyed lounging on the deck from sun up to moon up. A mere 20 minutes drive and we were at the INCREDIBLE Point Reyes hike one day, and the next day - toodling around Point Reyes station for lunch and shopping.
Wonderful management
The management is wonderful and responsive, taking care to make sure all request were adhered to and that our stay was perfect.  We will gladly come here again.
